I thought he might be a little crazy, to be honest… There’s no way you can imagine what it’s like for your little neighbor who gets beat up all the time to suddenly become even more powerful than you were at your best!I admit I was attracted to him as far back as when he was no more than a collection of princedoms. I admired his ability to overcome hardship. He had a humble nature, if you would believe it, and… an adorable smile. This was long before that smile was anything to worry about, I’ll have you remember… As long and hard as I fought to bring him into my house, I always ended up losing.So just imagine my shock when that bullied little nation starts banging on my doorstep, saying he’ll bring me into his house! Yes, I know it was much more than just the personal feelings of a nation that brought me into his house, but… Once I was there he never stopped pursuing me.He had no idea what he was doing. After everything I’d lost, I was in no mood to be wooed, of course, and that only made it worse. He was too pushy, too prideful, and nothing like I remembered. I didn’t find out until much later that it was because he thought that was how he should act. I can’t believe I feel like laughing a little when I remember it, but once he told me “That’s how you acted!”, when I was the Grand Duchy he meant.What stayed was his true smile. That little one he gets when he’s embarrassed or happy. And his ability to not give up no matter what. Once we got past all the fuss, the attraction we had felt for one another when we were young came right back. And it stayed. I squeed so hard. RUSSLIET <3
